In a fire-fighting system (sprinkler, hydrant, fire pump circuit), it use as a pressure monitoring/control switch to ensure proper pump operation and pipeline integrity.


 

Fire Pump Start/Stop Control

● The pressure switch detects a drop in system pressure when a sprinkler head opens or a fire hydrant valve is used

● It will sends an electrical signal to the fire pump controller to start the pump automatically

● When the pressure returns to the preset level, it may stop the pump (for automatic systems)

Pressure Supervision/Alarm Function

● The switch provides a low or high pressure alarm signal to the fire alarm control panel

● This ensures the system is always in a ready-to-operate condition, and alerts operators to any abnormal conditions (like pump failure, leakage, or blocked line)

System Safety Protection

● Prevents overpressure damage to the system by cutting off the pump circuit if the pressure exceeds the safe limit.

● Ensures safe operation of pumps, valves, and pipelines under varying load conditions
