AHR-871 is a mechanical ''rate-of-rise'' heat detector designed for use in fire alarm systems. It monitors a rapid increase in ambient temperature and triggers an alarm when the rise exceeds a set threshold. It is used in locations where smoke detection may be unreliable like dusty, smoky. or high-airflow areas.
